We were upside down in anticipation of this event but due to the restrictions we are unable to have it this year. We can assure you though that we are planning on making the 2022 event bigger and better than ever! See you then!
Back and better than ever - we have a full line up of fun entertainment !
The freestyle event is always a crowd favorite. Get there early for great food and drinks.
Febuary 17th 2018 was the first skijoring event at Canterbury Park in Shakopee MN.
The next Skijoring event will be: February 12th 2022. Look for fast flying action at this one!
The blending of two worlds- skiiing and horses. Horses and skiers race against the clock while skiing around gates, grabbing rings at break neck speed and going over a set of jumps!
Brought to you for the first time ever! - A freestyle competition where the competitors are pulled by horses. Watch these athletes do flips and tricks all while being pulled by a horse!

There are five classes. Open, novice, youth, snowboard and Freestyle. The entry fees for the Novice, youth, snowboard and freestyle are $50 for skier and $50 for the horse rider. Entry fees for the open are $60 per skier and $60 per rider. We are adding $500.00 prize money to the open, $300.00 to the novice and Freestyle events along with other prizes like skis, bridles... We will have practice days the week prior to the event and will have a side by side to pull for the practices. When we get closer we will post the times that they will be. We will also have practice days prior to the event- keep an eye on the website or Facebook for times and dates. If you don't have a horse rider to pull you we can team you up with someone or if you have a horse and don't have a boarder or skier we can find you one.
Stalls are available for $50.00 per stall and includes two bags of shavings. It is a fun event and great for every skill level. Very low key. I will post the rules and the course outline when we get a little closer to the event. It is a timed event with one go and the top 6 in the open division, the top 4 in the youth, snowboard and novice make it to the final round. The freestyle division is a judged event and will have 3 runs.
Email entries will be open January 1st 2020 at noon. We are going to limit the entries this year so if you are interested get them in early.
We will have a team meeting Saturday the 12th at 11:00 AM and the main event starting at 1:00 pm.
The host motel is the Baymont by Wyndham in Shakopee (952) 486-8174 . Mention Tedskijoring and you will get the discounted rate.
